Development Manager (EIA expert) Full time
Location: Durham

Overseeing the full onshore wind farm development process, from site identification to receiving all necessary consents, this role will have a particular emphasis on the management of environmental impact assessments.

Specifically, the role will include
- Onshore wind farm site identification
- Management of the planning process and EIAs
- Local community and press liaisons
- Consultee liaisons
- Understanding of wind resources
- Wind farm design
- Financial modeling and economic analysis
- Securing legal agreements with landowners

Skills/qualifications required
- Wind Energy or Environmental industry experience
- Competent at managing/conducting environmental impact assessments
- Degree qualified (preferably in planning or environmental disciplines)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly computer literate

NAW Senior Project Managers

We are seeking to build a strong team of experienced developers, engineers and analysts to contribute to our growing North American advisory business, and are looking to recruit four-five entrepreneurial and motivated candidates.

Role
The role will include providing technical and commercial due diligence services to existing and new clients, and your resume should include experience in a similar role. Positions could be based in any of the major wind development regions, depending on qualifications and openings; candidates with electrical or civil engineering experience are particularly welcomed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant experience (e.g. development / design / construction / operation /due diligence of windfarms or other renewable energy / infrastructure projects)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, thorough and diligent
- A proven ability to write clear and accurate reports is essential

Quantity Surveyor
Location:
Cockermouth, Cumbria

Role
The position is within the UK Wind Construction division, and involves the Project Management, construction and operation of Wind Farms throughout the UK and Ireland.
Assist the Construction & Operations Director, these duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Review and monitor the Project Management Agreements (PMA)
- Assist with the development and negotiations of tenders for PMAs " Management of client invoicing and payments
- Develop and negotiate claims
- Assist with Cash flow predictions
- Assist Project Managers with the production of Civil and Electrical tenders
- Assist Project Managers with the prosecution of and defence of claims

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate needs to have at least a degree qualification with chartered status preferred but not essential. Have several years experience working in either contracting or PQS, with a proven track record. Experience in ICE and FIDIC forms of contract would be beneficial. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, be able to work for long periods unsupervised, have good negotiating skills and be capable of working as part of a team. There will also be a requirement for incidental travel to sites, which may require overnight accommodation, but the post is predominately based in our Cockermouth office.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Cockermouth, Cumbria

Role
You will work within a small engineering team providing services to internal and external clients on a variety of challenging projects across the UK and Ireland. Principally your duties shall include:

- Detailed site assessments in respect to geology, hydrogeology and hydrology during the planning phase of a project
- Peat Slide Risk Assessments
- Coordination and planning of consultants and contractors work
- Tendering and Procurement of Site Investigations
- Project Management of Site Investigation Contractors
- Geotechnical Reviews during Construction
- Geotechnical Design of foundations, structures and buildings

Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate needs to have at least degree qualified with an Engineering Geology, Geology or Civil Engineering degree. You will need to be flexible, self motivated and capable of working in a small team of likeminded individuals. Experience in geotechnical design is not a prerequisite but would be beneficial.

There will also be a requirement for incidental travel to sites, which may require overnight accommodation, but the post is predominately based in our Cockermouth office. Other circumstances or locations may be considered for discussion.
