Wind Prospect has teamed up with a local company, Snowmountain Ltd, to construct a 2 MW turbine on an industrial estate in March, Cambridgeshire. The turbine will both supply consumers on the estate, and export surplus electricity to the grid; this approach of supplying green energy direct to industrial consumers is through our Wind Direct partnership.

Construction of the Long Hill Road turbine was completed in February 2005 and was formally commissioned by Dr Mary Archer on the 9th May 2005. This site will be Wind Prospect's first Wind Direct project, and will form a valuable template for similar developments elsewhere in the UK.
