The proposed Montreathmont Moor wind farm is a eleven 2MW turbine Wind Prospect development that will provide enough clean green energy for the needs of over 12,000 homes.

The site will be located approximately 4km north of the village of Friockheim in central Angus, Scotland, and will be at least 800m from the nearest residential property.

A local trust fund will be set up and managed by a committee of local residents, and administered by a registered charity with an annual value of £33,000.

The proposal is a positive contribution to Scotland's pledge to produce 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020.
