Wharrels Hill wind farm is located south of Bothel, West Cumbria and has recently been
purchased from Npower Renewables by Wharrels Hill LLP, a group of private investors.
Oxfordshire based FIM Services manages Wharrels Hill LLP and have appointed Wind Prospect
Ltd to conduct the project management during the construction phase. Wind Prospect will also
operate the site under a similar agreement.
The site is presently under construction with roads in place and turbine
foundations being poured. 8 Nordex N60 wind turbines are to
be erected in the next few weeks under a turnkey arrangement
with Nordex UK, with commissioning planned to be complete
by 2007.
