Utilising the long disused Kirksanton Airfield, Haverigg is
a great place for a windcluster, close to the sea and facing
the prevailing southwesterly wind. The first windcluster was
commissioned in 1992, only the second commercial wind energy
development in the UK.
A second group of four 600kW turbines was commissioned on
the same site in 1998.
